On January the 7th, 2007, three IAF F-16 Israeli fighter bombers armed with nuclear bombs headed towards Iran.
When the fighter bombers got within 160 kilometers from Baghdad they were asked to declare their intentions then they were expected to fly a holding pattern and not to continue towards Baghdad.
Without their intentions declared and continuing on to Baghdad they were intercepted and turned back by at least one USAF F-15.
According to independent intelligence sources this is the third time such an incident has happened .

The Israeli F-16 fighter bombers were each carrying one 20 ton nuclear bomb.
